The 50th Law: Summary

I finished reading The 50th Law a few minutes to 10:00pm. last night and I am still in awe of how it brings to the surface reality-what it is and how to deal with it.
I will not delve into the history of 50Cent, but some basics are he first burst into the global scene as a rapper, but now he's known as a business mogul. From the beginning of that book-it's made clear that 50Cent was and is after power and being able to hold it and use it to meet his needs.
So what is his take on life: Life sucks, people face issues, people have problems-so what? Deal with them and in so doing have a clear purpose in mind and learn from your mistakes. You can do this best by becoming a keen observer of what is happening around you.
His tips are:
  1. See things for what they are- Intense realism.
  2. Make everything your own- Self reliance.
  3. Turn shit into sugar- Opportunism.
  4. Keep moving- Calculated momentum.
  5. Lead from the front- Authority.
  6. Know your environment from the inside out- Connection.
  7. Respect the process- Mastery.
  8. Push beyond your limits- Self relief.
  9. Confront your mortality- The sublime.
Simply put we are alive and in time we shall all die-you have one life to live, make the most of it, such that when time comes for you to cease living-you have no regrets but you have made a difference- a notable difference.
